Tim and I spent the day doing interviews to promote the album. Neither of us are particularly charming, funny or interesting at the best of times. So it was a long day.
In the evening Tim went home and I went to watch Thomas J Speight at The Lexington. He was really good.

MT.DESOLATION
Tim and I had a day off in Cleveland, Ohio today so we decided to go into Ante Up Studios and record a couple of new songs that you'll hopefully hear at some point. The songs are called 'Wherever You Were Going' and 'Emily'. Jim, Adam and Colin at Ante Up were really nice. We'll post some more photos tomorrow when the internet starts working properly again.

Myriade Cafe, Montreal / Saturday / 1400
I've escaped a dusty but sunny and hot festival site to grab a coffee in Montreal - I'm in a lovely cafe, recommended by Momiji Kishi, no less: http://www.cafemyriade.com/ so i'm gonna upload a couple of photos from last night in Toronto. It was a really fun show - great crowd, really loud singing, fun atmosphere, not to mention the sweet smell lingering in the air... i took a couple of photos after the show - it's such a beautiful city, and being on the shore of Lake Ontario sets it off perfectly.

House of Blues / Las Vegas / 1057
we've had a great first few days of the tour. i'm gonna post the photos from the stage in Oakland and LA (and they'll soon become clickable, hopefully), and various other bits from the last few days. I woke up at 5AM, just as we parked up in Las Vegas, so i went out for a wander with my camera - it was already ridiculously hot (i guess we are in a desert), but the light was amazing as the sun came up. forecast is 42 degrees C / 107 F today.
