I'm so sorry for not updating lately. Being with my thesis is driving me crazy!! Anyways, here there are some pics and vids from Keane's performance at San Miguel (Barcelona, Spain)
On Fearne Cotton's show on BBC Radio 1, they're currently having a Live Lounge Battle, where various bands' cover versions recorded for Radio 1 are competing against each other to become the Live Lounge Champion. Yesterday, Keane's May November 2004 cover of U2's With Or Without You was put to a public vote against covers by Goldfrapp and Taio Cruz. We're pleased to say the results were as follows:
Keane - 53% of the vote
Taio Cruz - 30%
Goldfrapp - 17%
Which means Keane go through to the next round. Thanks to any of you who voted. We'll try to let you know when the next round is.
If you're in the UK, you can hear the results being read out and Keane's cover after 1hr 40mins of this show.
Of course, the cover of With Or Without You also features on the Hopes And Fears Deluxe Edition, which is out on November 9th.
As you know, Keane is going to do a secret gig in Barcelona, Spain, this Tuesday 27th. The interesting thing is that if you go that day to this site http://www.sanmiguel.es/ (at the beggining may appear a little window, you just click on Si) at 23h, you'll see the gig live. The bad thing is that you have to be extremely punctual because only a few will have access to the transmission.
As you know, there's a Keane video contest for the H&F songs. Well, the thing is I'm participating with a vid starring my dog Neron and of course there's one scene dedicated for Tim. Can you guess which one is it? Go and check out my vid at KM.com!! I still can't believe it and feel so embarrassed LOL
From KM.com,
Here's another entry for our Hopes And Fears video contest - by Isa from Peru. Isa explains that her video, "is based on a true love story of a very particular Keane fan: my dog called Neron. Near my house, there's a black schnauzer female dog which likes to walk by my door and bark for Neron. Of course Neron has fallen in love with her and he suffers when he does not see her and even cries because he wants to go out and look for her. He knows it is an impossible love because her owner is looking for a schnauzer male dog. That's why Neron understands very well the song We Might As Well Be Strangers" Aw, poor Neron.
For the next six days, Ben Sherman are auctioning a signed Keane plectrum in aid of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, the UK's largest specialist music therapy charity. It comes framed with a hand-written note from the band, as per the picture (looks posh, doesn't it?).
Click here if you'd like to make a bid for the Keane plectrum on eBay. Bidding closes at 5pm GMT on Sunday 25th October.

So, it's congratulation to Let KeaneIn by Paul McCartney vs Keane, which is now officially (according to km.com, at least) the best Keane mashup track ever. The track was put together in March 2005 by Faultside, and features Keane's Somewhere Only We Know, Let 'Em In by Paul McCartney and Wings, plus a little bit of DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince's Summertime. Click here to hear it on Faultside's MySpace player.
A note by me: Actually I didn't vote because I found it hard...really. Anyways, I agree and can't stop listening and thought maybe you guys are in the same situation like me so I upload it for you to download. Just clickhere :D

Hi, my name is Isa. I'm a massive Tim Rice-Oxley fan, dunno who's him? Keane's pianist, of course!! The reason I created this blog is because I want to share more about our talented and genius Timmy, the man who stole my heart without knowing who I am.
Welcome and feel free to comment! :D
