In Yamaha's website, there's an interview with the KING OF PIANO ROCK.
Tim Rice-Oxley is composer, bassist, and pianist with chart topping Brit band Keane. After turning down an offer from Chris Martin to join the then fledging Coldplay, Rice-Oxley focused his attention on Keane.
Known as the 'King of Piano Rock' he quit piano lessons as a child and instead taught himself to play after listening to his parents' Beatles records. He was named 'Composer of the Year' at the Ivor Novello awards and contributed songs to Gwen Stefani's double-platinum album 'Sweet Thing.'
Joined by vocalist Tom Chaplin and Richard Hughes his band have sold over 8 million records with all 3 of their albums hitting number one on the UK charts. The band won 'Album of the Year' at the Brits for their debut and played Wembley Stadium as part of the UK leg of Live Earth.
