IT'S CONFIRMED!!! The new single by Keane called Spiralling is out in August, Monday 4th!!! It'll be a free download at www.keanemusic.com so be quick!

Dear friends,

As you'll have gathered from our many and varied blogs, broadcasts and photos, we've been lost in a world of new music over the last few months - writing songs, pushing our limits, making fools of ourselves, and generally having a wicked time. We started out in Paris, where Jon Brion inspired us to create first and think later. We took the night train to Berlin, where everything came together in an avalanche of experimentation that took us all by surprise; where we made a pact with Stuart Price to ignore the rules of good taste; where we were hypnotised by Marlene Dietrich and spent many a long night throwing ideas around in the crumbling Cabaret-esque glamour of our favourite bar. We've hidden ourselves away in the depths of the English countryside, recorded a new track in London at the last possible moment, and now we're in Los Angeles tying up the loose ends. We've had an amazing time making this album and we're very, very proud of it. It's called Perfect Symmetry and will be released on October 13th.

New update!!

Tim says: I think it's about trying to tell a story, in the 40 minutes or something, I don't think there's ever a formula for that. A lot of records nowadays are incredibly front loaded, you know in between hit singles - they're the first two songs - you kinda loose interest after that, a lot of them are like that. But if you look back over the many classic albums over the last 50 years a lot of them really haven't *something* in really unexpected and really interesting ways, so it would be fantastic is we could do something like that, but it's interesting how certain songs feeling like they belong in a certain quarter of the album, like there's definitely two songs that I feel were intended to be the last songs on the album, Bedshaped was very much like that, I think when you have a last track on the album, you know. And we always thought Atlantic would be the first song on the album even when it was in demo shape. I don't really know why, I think it just felt like it was building towards something. I think we've got an idea for the first song on this record as well, I think it'll be much more a blast of energy this time, rather than that slow down feel of Atlantic or whatever. I hope we never make a record that feels like it gets a bit boring in the last third. I hope it tells a story and takings a journey.

awww....today I just arrived from Pasco to Lima so it's a big surprise to find a mp3 of him. It was a fair move cos Tom was turning into the king of the audios lol (Tommy girls don't kill me please) It's so energetic to listen to him *love* and of course I'm extremely happy to hear there are just 2 1/2 days of recording!!!! wohoooo!!!
As Beyond The Iron Sea says, the album possibly comes out in November 3rd!!!

Hi all,

I'm at Yauyos right now. The weather is pretty complicated cos at midday is sunny but at night is reallly cold. Oh God I regret putting my other trousers in my luggage.

In some hours I'll be traveling again to a little town called Villafranca where kids will be waiting for me to teach them how to use the laptop XO.

I'm so happy now because I finally found a cyber in this town in mthe middle of nowhere so that means I have to update this blog. Yesterday a Tim pic was posted in KM. Tim wearing a new and fabulous t-shirt which gets on well with the wires xD

Hello folks,

I'm a bit sad now cos on Monday I'll travel to an unknown place with no Internet (if I have bad luck). That means I'll be two weeks off msn, the Keane messageboard and this blog of course. Yauyos' people awaits me.
Also my sadness was caused by a uy who resembles a bit to Tom Chaplin.

He has the haircut and the nose similar to Tom, and an English name of course. He's not called Thomas but his name is Mathew and studies English. Yesterday at night I decided to talk to him saying he's a Tommy lookalike but he didn't come to college
:( and I won't meet him again, I mean in two LONG weeks. Fuck it!!

awwww...just look at him! Oh God if he finds and reads this he'll think I'm mad and make a restraining order LOL I don't mind!

When I opened Keane's homepage I almost die!! I felt like my heart was about to jump out of my body and run itself desperately. It was long time ago we haven't seen any Tim pics so it's really surprising to come across with this photo.

*sighs* awww and it seems he has a haircut (I'll miss his curls)...but look at his lovely face. He seems like he's waiting for someone or something to happen but at the same time tired of waiting. Ok Tim, I'll finish putting on my clothes quickly and get out, I promise (LOL)

awww and his lovely arms (is he going to a gym?) and of course I must say again he has a good taste for picking the right clothes to wear. i love a lot that blue t-shirt. Reminds me the one with the zebra in Strangers dvd.
