-When the N. American Tour was announced Tim said this: "It's been such a long time since we toured North America and it's probably my favourite place to go on tour, so I'm very, very excited about it," Tim just told us. "I can't wait."

And from today:

Yes, it's time to unleash Tom's latest "What do you think of?" interview - this time featuring head Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. Enjoy!
There's a question that matters here: What Do You Think Of Tim Rice-Oxley?

TIM'S OPINION ABOUT KATZENJAMMER

From KM.COM,

We're very pleased to announce a second support act for the upcoming O2 Arena shows in London. Norwegian band Katzenjammer will be opening procedings on both nights. We called Tim to ask why:

"They supported us in Oslo last year and, to be honest, we didn't know much about them before that. But they were really nice people and they turned out to be the best support band we had for the whole tour. They're very unique; they use a lot of different instruments - everything from a dustbin to a trumpet. They have an unhinged energy about them, with a real sense of fun and they seemed determined to get people dancing and having a good time. So that's why we decided to invite them over for the O2 shows. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again."

For more info on the band, and to hear some tunes, check out their MySpace here.

A BLOG FROM TIM!!!

From KM.com,

Bonjour! We're in Paris to film our appearance on the excellent French music show Taratata. In fact, we're filming not one but two episodes in one day. We're doing two Keane songs and two collaborations with other artists, so it's going to be extremely exciting and somewhat chaotic.

We drove all the way here from Nottingham overnight, so full credit to our drivers Chris and Paul for negotiating the snow and getting everyone here in one piece. I noticed a little bit of wheel-spinning while we were in the Parisian suburbs this morning! Hopefully the return journey to Bournemouth tonight will be equally smooth. I keep thinking of the end of The Italian Job.

It's been a great tour so far. I have to say the crowds at these gigs have been exceptional. We were reflecting the other day on how strange it is that we suddenly (or it feels sudden, anyway) find ourselves saying "It's one of the smaller arenas tonight - just the 6,000 people"! Pretty incredible really.

It's hard to pick a highlight, but I would have to say that the singing along in Glasgow was spectacular, and playing in the giant cauldron of humanity that is the Manchester MEN Arena is always a magical experience. I remember playing at the Night & Day club in Manchester in 2002. It was our first gig as a three-piece band, and pretty much the only people there were Mark and Lard from Radio 1. Strange.

Tom and I went to see Slumdog Millionaire on our day off in Glasgow on Wednesday. It really is a brilliant film - very funny in places, gruellingly tragic in others. Excellent soundtrack too.Favourite song at the moment: Money by NASA. Actually, that's my second-favourite song; my favourite song at the moment is The River by Bruce Springsteen. We've been playing a little snippet of it every night on the tour and now I've become slightly obsessed with it. I think it might be the greatest song ever written. If I could write lyrics like "For my nineteenth birthday I got a union card and a wedding coat" without sounding like an utter twat, then I would.

Other than all that, we've been busy making plans for the rest of year. We should have some exciting tour announcements soon, and then there's the world of summer festivals to sort out too. In fact there's quite a bit of exciting stuff coming up, now I come to think of it. But most of it is secret at the moment! It's going to be a good year.

LIVE BLOG FROM NOTTINGHAM ARENA

From KM.com,

2.39PM: While you were emailing in the news where you are, we were in the dressing room, where the whole band is currently chilling out, checking their emails and chattering among themselves. As they do so, they look a bit like this...

3.53PM: Some pictures from the soundcheck (we managed to get there just before Tim did - hence he's not in the pics). They are, as live blog tradition dictates, in black and white.

4.02PM: Tim is out there now. They're not actually playing songs yet, just chatting to each other and tuning up their instruments

4.11PM: Newsflash from Peru!
Peru archeologists inaugurate new museum at Sipan containing a wealth of treasures, says Isabel (me...lol).

4.21PM: The soundcheck proper has now begun, with the band blasting through a deliciously groovesome Spiralling. This is what they looked like while they did so.

5.44PM: The band are busy in meetings (seemingly about new T-shirt designs). So we snuck into the music room to take a picture of the settings on the warm-up piano...

5.56PM: This is how the band's wardrobes are looking... (I can see Tim's shirts there)

The word "vibrant" springs to mind.

6.04PM: Newsflash! We're going to do a video interview with Tim after he's had dinner. Send in your questions to ontour@keanemusic.com now...

6.08PM: Right, we're off to get some dinner. Keep those questions for Tim coming in...

6.41PM: Hey folks. Just back from dinner (roast pork, absolutely lovely) and we're going through 150+ emails picking questions for Tim (mine included...fingers crossed*)

7.09PM: The video is processing. Hmm, this could take a while.

7.22PM: OK, video coming together. Won't be too long now hopefully...

7.32PM: Right, the video is compressing.

7.41PM: The Tim interview video is on its way...

7.54PM: The video interview - filmed less than an hour ago - is live. Check it out below. Thanks to everyone who sent in a question, all of these came from you folks...

8.07PM: The band are in their dressing room, either warming up or getting dressed for the show. Stage time is in 21 minutes.

8.15PM: Are these monitors? We think they are, but we're not entirely sure.

8.36PM: The band are now on stage and have just belted through The Lovers Are Losing. Sounded grand. Great atmosphere out there too. Here's a picture of the fellas just before they went on.

8.41PM: Here are some live shots taken during TLAL. We're going to be brave and post some colour ones. The band are currently playing Everybody's Changing and the bass is making the walls of Colin's office shake.

And finally, an arty one...

9.19PM: This is how it looked on the B-stage a couple of minutes ago...

10.02PM: Here's the band drinking them...

10.18PM: Right, last lot of pictures from the show, which has just finished. We were going to get some of the band bowing together at the end but, alas, our camera battery chose to die moments before they did. Dang.

10.25PM: Ruth emailed asking to see tonight's setlist. Here it is...

11.00PM: Here's some pics we've just taken of Jesse, Rich and Tim - all of whom seem to have enjoyed tonight's show as much as Tom did.

11.05PM: And that's it from us. As ever, a huge thanks for reading and for all of your emails. It's been a blast. We'll see you again for more live blogging soon.
Goodnight.
